We had the pleasure, alongside our good friends at Vanilla Bean Catering, of helping host and support a private party for 02’s chief executive Ronan Dunne, who announced earlier in the year he would be stepping down from the role at one of Britain’s largest telecommunications companies. The party took place at a private residence in the leafy suburbs of Weybridge where we had the pleasure of showing off our highly coveted New York themed mobile bar.
Weybridge is in the affluent county of Surrey and is a town that sits on the River Wey. Only 16 miles south west of London it is a highly sought after area, with six of the ten most expensive streets in South East England in the small town. Historically it was a small settlement next to an important river crossing but now Weybridge is one of the most beautiful and highly sought after areas to live in England – a perfect setting for a private party!
Our event support included one of our 4 meter LED mobile bar’s – which was themed on the wonderful city of New York, as this is where Ronan Dunne will be moving too after stepping down from 02. The LED’s sit behind the stylish New York backdrop of skyscrapers and the stars in the night sky – providing a fantastic overall visual effect. Vanilla Bean provided all of the tasty looking food and catering staff and we were tasked with the drink!
As well as our New York themed mobile bar we also provided two of our professional flair bartenders to not only mix and make the drinks for guests all night long, but entertain as well! They certainly achieved that. With roughly 80 guests in attendance the private event wasn’t a huge scale affair, however everyone was well catered for with the one 4 meter bar enough to keep everyone satisfied and well watered!
In addition to our flair bartenders and New York themed mobile bar, we also put together a bespoke 02 cocktail especially for the event, which we served alongside a more classical cocktail offering. The 02 cocktails were garnished with ’02’ on the top using dusting and a special stencil, they went down a treat with guests. We are quite often asked to build bespoke cocktails and cocktail menus for events such as these and we relish the opportunity to get creative!
