Earlier on in October we were involved in supporting an all day and evening event for international law firm DLA Piper with our mobile bar hire in London as well as flair bartenders and more. The event took place at the London Hilton Metropole and was the global annual conference for DLA Piper involving around 800 delegates. The event was split into two parts, the daytime team building activities and the evening dinner and celebration.
Firstly, we were tasked with taking a small team of 60 out of the 800 attendees and providing a team building experience for them; the rest of the guests had all branched off at this point and were also carrying out team building tasks with some of the other events suppliers. However, the 60 or so of the guests that were lucky enough to be paired with us at Ace Bar Events were in for a treat and what we had planned for them was one of our renowned cocktail experiences.
We often hold our cocktail experiences for businesses of all sizes, as they can be a fantastic way to have a bit of fun with your colleagues, provide some team building, and learn some new skills! Behind the bar we had world champion flair bartenders Tomek & Marek who provided the masterclass for the 60 guests in question. As well as a history and bit of background on the alcohols in use, the guests were tasked with a race to create a number of cocktails in teams. This was then followed by a cocktail creation competition! We would judge the best and the winner would become one of the featured cocktails for the evening party, alongside our own selection.
Along with the cocktail experience and staff, we also provided one of our fantastic 10 meter mobile bars. This was used for the cocktail experience and then moved upstairs to one of the Hilton’s private suites where the 800 person evening party was to take place. It was a quick turn around in a short space of time, however as our bars are fully customisable and portable – this was no problem.
The evening party for DLA Piper was a Ministry of Sound themed event, with a fantastic dance floor, which of course would not be complete without a DJ set from Basement Jaxx. Our flair bartenders provided a fantastic array of entertainment for the guests throughout the night, as well as a choice of beverages and cocktails – including the winners of the cocktail experience own little creation, the Pied Piper (Vodka, Fresh Lemon, Cinnamon Syrup, Ginger Syrup, Dash of Soda) – surprisingly good!
In conjunction with the Pied Piper cocktail we also provided the choice of a Bramble, an Exotic Passion (involving fresh pineapple and pink grapefruit), and the El Diablo. You can see a selection of our photos of this fantastic event for DLA Piper above and a short video of the evening below:
