Ace bar Events were very proud to be contacted by the BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club) at the famous Silverstone, following support for the Moto GP and the F1 GP, to offer our professional bar management and bar support services for the Silverstone Classic.
The Silverstone Classic is the worlds biggest classic motor racing festival, taking place over 3 days. The festival features the cream of historic racing action from Formula One, Sports Cars, GT and Touring Car grids. With over 20 races and demonstrations, and over 1,000 race entries, there is more racing action on offer than you will see anywhere else in the world in one weekend! Each year, Friday sees a full day of qualifying from every grid, whilst Saturday and Sunday host a packed schedule of races each day. This year featured a special 50th anniversary celebration of the legendary Can-Am championship and, for the first time in it’s history, no fewer than four separate touring car grids.

The British Racing Drivers Club is one of the most prestigious private clubs in the UK, with only professional British race car drivers invited to join. As a result the BRDC has its own hospitality section of Silverstone (overlooking the pit lane!) where it always hosts a fair few hundred guests for any large-scale Silverstone event such as the grand prix or the Silverstone Classic. As the BRDC area is very exclusive, with only members of the BRDC and their guests being allowed entry, the service that we needed to provide – even down to the way our staff are dressed, needed to reflect that.
It is the third time in which we have been invited back by the BRDC be it to service, support, or take charge of an event – we are always very proud to be called upon and believe that the fact that the BRDC returns to us for our event support, mobile bar, and staffing options stands testament to our keen focus on the highest levels of service and quality. We are very pleased to announce that we will indeed be returning for a fourth time shortly, with the Moto GP 2016 coming up in September.
This time we provided our professional bar support service, which entailed the management of both of the fixed BRDC bars, the provision of professional bartenders to service these bars and the overall responsibility for anything related to refreshments or alcohol. The day proved to be a grand success and the BRDC were very happy with how this years Silverstone Classic played out for them and their members.
