Our event planners in Oxshott were invited back to manage the annual Daneshill Ball for parents of pupils at the prestigious Surrey School. On the same weekend we were also invited to support the St. George’s College Ball, in Weybridge. Both summer ball’s had around 500 guests in attendance and were highly enjoyable for all involved and our event planners in Oxshott certainly had a fantastic time putting it altogether. This year Daneshill were fundraising for the Silver Lining charity.
We were supporting the overall event at Daneshill School in conjunction with two of our consistent event partners; Vanilla Bean Catering and Inside/Outside marquees. In addition to what we provided at St George’s College (just up the road in Weybridge), Daneshill requested three of our mobile bar’s: two brand new mirrored 4 metre mobile bars and one of our own branded LED mobile bars for the VIP area.
The Daneshill Ball always has a theme, and this year the theme chosen was Puttin’ on the Glitz! The ball included, as it always does, a wide range of fundraising activities, a wonderful three course meal, and a dance floor that made sure it kept people dancing the night away. Our new mirrored mobile bars slotted in perfectly with the Glitz theme, as did our handpicked cocktail choices of Espresso Martini’s, Bramble’s, Elderflower Collins and the event favourite the Glitz Blitz.
The Glitz Blitz is one of our huge sharing cocktails, which you may have seen in some of our previous blogs or events. They come in huge 3ft tall martini glasses – with lots and lots of straws. These sharing cocktails really do help get people talking and encourage an inclusive experience for all. We are sure that the alcohol might have something to do with this as well!
Off to the side of the main marquee at the Daneshill Ball we also had a very exclusive VIP tent. Upon arrival you would be treated to a free cocktail of your choice at the exclusive VIP bar, treated to an array of delicious petit fours from Vanilla Bean whilst relaxing in the comfortable seating area.
In addition to the mobile bar’s and cocktails we provided for both the Daneshill and St George’s summer balls, we also provided full event support. This meant having one of our dedicated event managers on site for the day, ensuring the whole process flowed smoothly and without fault. We also provided cocktail waitresses, flair bartenders, bar backs, all associated drinks, and the glorious LED, full DMX, candelabra centrepieces (pictured below):
