Hired as part of our long term mobile bar hire, the 50s themed mobile bar has spent the week in Dunsfold in the offices alongside the Top Gear Test Track, as part of the 50 years of Gordon Murray Design event. In conjunction with our friends at Vanilla Bean Catering we have been supporting the invitation only event celebrating design.
Alongside many inspirational and unique visuals stood a once in a lifetime collection of Formula 1 racing cars, including an original McClaren, Ferrari and Le Mans winners. The overall theme for the event decided on by the organisers was a 1950s America theme. Vanilla Bean Catering provided a delicious variety of american diner dishes, whereas we had a couple of best flair bartenders behind the American Diner themed bar shaking up and serving up a variety of banana milkshakes, raspberry sodas and cocktails (alcoholic or non-alcoholic depending on preference).
The 50s themed mobile bar will be in situ at Dunsfold for the entire week as part of our long term mobile bar hire, as will the flair bartenders – albeit they will go home in between each day! Although we are sure they wouldn’t mind being left alone at the Top Gear Test Track with some of the vehicles that were on show. Our 50s themed mobile bar is 4 meters long and part of our HD Range, which means almost any HD image can be mocked up on the front of the bar and then back lit using a selection of LED’s built into the mobile bar that can also change to almost any colour on the spectrum.
With roughly 120 guests in attendance on each day, the 4 meter american diner themed bar was the perfect size to ensure everyone got served in a comfortable and timely fashion.The entire 50s Americana theme went down a treat with the variety of guests that came through during the week, including Damon Hill, Bernie Eccleston and of course Gordon Murray himself. Nothing went down as well as our selection of American themed drinks – served with in the classic American fashion with the red and white striped straw. And of course not forgetting…
