We were recently contacted by an event production company who were looking for a colonial mobile bar to be featured at the wonderful Cowdray Park in West Sussex, a 16,500 acre country estate which lies in the beautiful natural setting of the South Downs National Park.
The end client was looking for a very particular mobile bar to fit into the 19th-20th century colonial decor of the interior of Cowdray House and came to Ace Bar Events as we have a reputation for building bespoke mobile bars to fit any occasion. After discussions with the event production company to undetstand their requirements we went away to create one of our most beautiful mobile bars to date, the colonial mobile bar:
As you can see this bespoke mobile bar was built exactly to requirements. Here at Ace Bar Events we have an approach with our mobile bars to ensure that when in situ they look like a piece of the furniture and not portable enough to just pack up and wheel away – although this is the reality. Using our HD fascia creation system we put together this wonderful 19th century colonial design featuring all the most exotic plants and creatures from the far reaches of the British Empire. A key part of this bespoke mobile bar in order for it to feel quintessentially colonial was the real wooden bar top.
Our production team at Ace Bar Events had this whole bar top made especially for this event at the colonial mobile bar. Measuring and cutting the piece of wood, from the same family as mahogany, to size, taking into account that the bar top needs to be able to come apart and fit perfectly back together for logistical purposes, and then finishing with some edging and a dash of polish and lacquer.
As with all of our mobile bars the interior of the colonial mobile bar comes fully kitted with state of the art, modern fixtures and fittings. Including shelving, speed rails, ice wells, working taps and sink and more. Looking around the room that our colonial mobile bar was featured in, it appears it fits in perfectly.
Although we quite often provide a whole range of services alongside our bespoke mobile bar hire, such as flair bartenders or mixologists to man the bar, a bespoke cocktail menu or a cocktail masterclass – in this case it was only the dry bar hire that was required.
