So last week many of you will have caught the British Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone and watched Lewis Hamilton storm to another well earned victory – comfortably beating his Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg. We were asked by the BRDC (British Racers Drivers Club) to provide hospitality for the day in the form of a bespoke themed mobile bar, a few of our top mixologists, flair bartenders, and a specially designed cocktail menu!
The British Racing Drivers’ Club is, arguably, the most exclusive club in motor racing. With a membership that numbers only 850, it is home to the most successful racing drivers from Great Britain and the Commonwealth. Those who have met the exacting entry criteria have achieved at the highest levels of the sport, or made a significant contribution to enable others to do so. You can visit their website below:
The Lawn Themed Mobile Bar
Considering Silverstone’s location in the rural heartland of England, Northamptonshire, we themed the mobile bar in keeping with its surroundings, implementing a fresh Lawn Themed Mobile Bar (see below):
The cocktail menu we were asked to create was also similarly themed! Naturally we had a Gin based cocktail in the form of the English Country Garden, a Whiskey based cocktail with the every-man favourite Whiskey Sours, and the perfect summer accompaniment in the form of the Rum based Mai Tai!
