Do you often enjoy a glass of vino? Perhaps you have been thinking I need to take my love of wine to the next level? Well, this Christmas could be the time to do it with our online wine tasting. Revolutionary new technology allows us to deliver the wine directly through the computer screen! Well not exactly, but you may be wondering how do you do a wine tasting online?
In fact, utilising the wonders of package delivery, we send the wine directly to your door leaving you with the simple task of placing the white wine in the fridge and yourself in front of a screen, at the agreed time and date. Wine glasses at the ready, what follows is an hour of wine knowledge delivered from a world-class sommelier directly to your ears.
The Ace Bar Events wine box is packed full of six delicious and different wines, ranging from the old world to the new, and if you don’t know what that means now – expect to wax-lyrical about this and so much more by the close of the class. The six bottles (3 red and 3 white) are of a small variety, 187ml each, which equates to just over a medium glass per bottle. As such, we recommend you stick to tasting each of the wines as the tutor instructs and not knocking them back – after all, we want you to remember all this wine knowledge we’ve packed into the masterclass!
During the online wine tasting, the sommelier will guide you through the different grape varieties of the 6 bottles of wine, highlighting the characteristics of each grape and challenging you to pick out some of the more subtle notes of flavour, as well as discussing the differences in grapes of the same variety that are grown in different parts of the world.
By the end of the online wine tasting, ideally, you will be able to recognise a grape through smell and taste and will also have gained a good understanding of the principles behind pairing wine with food and which foods pair well with which wines. It would be perfect if you had six wine glasses to pour each of the wines in to, however, as long as you have a minimum of two then a simple rinse in between each wine, will do.
