We had the pleasure recently of being involved in the Cambridge Cocktail Weekend with our mobile bar hire Cambridge and bartender hire Cambridge services. A fantastic three day event covering everything cocktail related – from cocktail flipping to cocktail creating and everything in between.
It all kicked off on the Friday (25th August) with a variety of masterclasses and the first heat of the World Flair Association Grand Slam competition, we always love to watch a bit of flair bartending.
The event took place in and around the fantastic Cambridge Corn Exchange and involved everything from street food, live music, all manner of drink’s brands and every cocktail under the sun. Designed to celebrate great cocktails and bars in Cambridge, alongside some of the global spirit superstars, if you have any interest in any of the above then we would highly recommend the next edition.
We were tasked with supporting two particular exhibitors at the event, ODK Mixers UK and the World Flair Association. Both were appearing at the Cambridge Cocktail Weekend in different roles, however our mobile bars were able to accommodate both of their needs thoroughly.
For ODK we were required to set up a bar area for the client to showcase their brand and sell drinks to the event guests, as well as to provide staff to support. After consultation with the client we chose to feature our mixologist hire Cambridge as well as a few flair bartenders as an attempt to draw the eye of the passing guest.
As there were many different bars and drinks brands showcasing their wares at this event, we also consulted on another interesting idea to differentiate the ODK bar from the others, cocktail pouches! These went down a treat and the guests seem to love them.
For the World Flair Association (WFA) they were not serving drinks and cocktails, but our mobile bar hire Cambridge service still proved very useful. The WFA had their own merchandise shop in the lobby area as the Cambridge Cocktail Weekend WFA Grand Slam competition was also taking place during the Cambridge Cocktail Weekend.
We set up a 4 meter mobile bar from our HD Range to act as the counter and display for the shop. Featuring our HD edge to edge graphics and LED backlighting, the mobile bars act like beacons attracting passer by’s eyes and interest. From here the WFA sold all manner of cocktail shakers, barware items and clothing.
